Four short guides that cover almost everything people ask us on WhatsApp.
Caption your first reelThe fastest path from a raw vertical video to a posted reel with word-synced captions.
- 1Open Captions and drop in your video, or paste a YouTube or Google Drive link.
- 2Pick the spoken language. If your video mixes Telugu and English, pick Tenglish — not Telugu — and the words come out the way people actually say them.
- 3Pick a style. Pop is the safe default; Beast puts one huge word on screen at a time; Aesthetic keeps it small and blows up numbers.
- 4Check the cost line above the Generate button, then hit Generate. Credits are charged when the job starts and refunded automatically if it fails.
- 5When it lands, download it, or open Edit to fix a misheard word before you post.
Watch out · Uploads over 50 MB go straight to our storage rather than through the website. If a big upload seems to stall, give it a minute before retrying — restarting mid-upload is what actually loses progress.
Open CaptionsTurn a podcast episode into shortsOne long landscape episode in, a set of vertical clips out, each reframed to whoever is talking.
- 1Open Clips and add the episode — an upload, a YouTube link, or a Drive link.
- 2Leave the clip count on auto unless you have a number in mind. Auto aims for roughly 16 clips an hour of source.
- 3Set the language, then generate. A full episode takes a few minutes; you can close the tab and come back.
- 4Open the Library to review what came out. Every clip has its own download.
- 5Send any clip to the Edit studio to change the caption style or fix words, and re-render for free.
Watch out · You're charged per upload-minute plus per clip, so a 60-minute episode costs the same whether you watch it render or not. Trim dead air off the front before uploading and you pay for less of it.
Open ClipsFix a word the AI heard wrongIndian names and English loan-words are where any transcriber slips. Editing is free and takes seconds.
- 1Open the clip in the Edit studio — from the Library, or the Captions result card.
- 2Scrub the timeline to the wrong word and click it. Type the correction.
- 3The preview shows exactly what will be burned in, in the real font and style. What you see is what renders.
- 4Change the style, position, size or colour here too if you want.
- 5Hit save and re-render. It's free and it reuses the clean master, so it finishes in seconds rather than reprocessing the whole video.
Watch out · Clips rendered before the editor rebuild don't carry word timings and can't be edited. Re-caption one of those once and it becomes editable from then on.
Open the Edit studioMake captions match your brandYour own font, your own accent colour, on every clip.
- 1In the Edit studio, open the Style tab.
- 2Upload a .ttf or .otf font file. It gets attached to your account and appears in the picker.
- 3Set the accent colour — the colour of the spoken word — and the words-per-line count.
- 4Move captions to the top, middle or bottom depending on where your safe area is for the platform you're posting to.
- 5Re-render. The look sticks for the rest of that project.
